Analytical Method Development

DYNAFLOW can develop gas chromatography (GC) and mass spectral (GC/MS) analytical methods including extraction methods, matrix effects, GC methods, MS detection methods, and Method Detection Limit studies.

Analysis of Trace Organics in Water

DYNAFLOW has expertise in identification and quantifying polar pharmaceuticals and personal-care-products (PPCP) in water and wastewater, including raw sewage influent. The DYNAFLOW laboratory is equipped with a Perkin Elmer Clarus 500 gas chromatograph with mass detector (GC/MS). The Clarus 500 is capable of collecting Total Ion Count (TIC) and Selected Ion Monitoring (SIR) simultaneously, which greatly enhances its utility for identifying unknown compounds and achieving low detection limits.

Treatability Studies

DYNAJETS® cavitating jet nozzles provide oxidation of water without requiring the addition of any chemical oxidants. Both oxidation and disinfection can be achieved at relatively low pump pressures (20-150 psi). DYNAJETS® require minimal retrofitting and maintenance, and no special operator training. DYNAFLOW can provide treatability studies for oxidation or disinfection using our in-house chemical and microbiological laboratories.

Filtration and Chemical Analysis Laboratory. DYNAFLOW has chemical and microbiology laboratories on-site. Analytical chemistry capabilities include trace organic analysis of water and air using gas chromatography (GC/FID and GC/PID) and mass spectroscopy (GC/MS with EI/CI). Several water quality analyses are also available including, pH, Total Organic Carbon (TOC), Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD), Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD), Total Phosphorus, Ammonia, Nitrate and Nitrite, Iron, Cyanide (Total and Amenable), Total Solids (TS), Total Suspended Solids (TSS), and Volatile Suspended Solids (VSS).

Microbiology Laboratory

DYNAFLOW has an on-site microbiology laboratory which is used to support our disinfection studies. It includes all equipment necessary for growing bacterial strains and assessing their viability and survival:
