High speed photography is an essential part of experimental fluid dynamics. DYNAFLOW, INC.® not only has expertise in high speed fluid phenomena such as jet impact and dynamics and cavitation bubbles, but also has various equipment for high speed photography. Our expertise and photographic equipments are well suited for studies in general hydrodynamics studies, explosion bubbles, cavitation dynamics, liquid drop impact, vortex flows, and jet flows.

Major components of DYNAFLOW visualization capabilities include:

•  Redlake MotionScope PCI high speed video imaging system
•  8,000 frames/sec monochrome camera
•  4,000 frames/sec color camera
•  MiDAS integrated data acquisition system with 8 analog & 6 digital channels and a 1.25 MHz sampling rate.
•  2 HYCAM high speed movie cameras capable of 40,000 quarter frames/sec
•  Various lighting equipment
•  Still and video photographic equipment
•  Plexiglass vacuum cells with electric spark discharge to study explosion & cavitation bubble dynamics
•  A 72 x 5 x 4.5 ft tank with a wave-maker and plexiglass walls over half of its length
